DFPG-100
The DFPG-100 is a deterministic fiber polarization state generator that can be paired with an internal laser or a user's laser to generate a deterministically controllable output polarization. The internal laser is fully tunable over the 1550 nm C-band. A sequence of variable waveplates gives full control over the exit polarization. The waveplates are calibrated to compensate for changes in the laser wavelength. This gives a user the ability to change wavelength and polarization independently over the full operating range. The polarization can be programmed to step over a sequence of values, for instance switching between orthogonal polarizations or scrambling the polarization over the Poincaré sphere.
